2009 Leading Women Dinner
South Carolina ranks 50th among
states in the percentage of women holding elected office. It is the only
state where no woman serves in the state senate. It's time to make a
change! Celebrate our victories and prepare to break new ground at the
2009 Leading Women Dinner in Columbia, Friday, May 1. Keynote speaker is
Kathy Groob, CEO of Elected
Women Magazine. Former Congresswoman Liz Patterson and former
State Superintendent of Education Barbara Nielsen will be honored.
Whether you've picked your seat, are
considering your options, or just want to participate in a meaningful way, the
Southeastern Institute's one-day campaign training will build your
know-how. From grassroots to media, from fundraising to new media, you'll
become more politically effective.
