The Community Involvement Initiative (CII) exposes Columbians to the importance of maintaining and revitalizing our community through acts of service with the hopes of creating a better Columbia.

Ongoing Projects

• Project Volunteer - This collaboration with local non-profit groups is strategically aligning COR with organizations in the Midlands by identifying liaisons to feed information to and from COR and these respective organizations. COR utilizes the resources available through these non-profit groups and identifies board placement and volunteer opportunities within other non-profits. Strategic alliances include the United Way of the Midlands, Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Cultural Council, and many more. • Volunteer Fair/Impact Cola Summit - COR teamed up with the Greek Festival in 2007 to highlight some of our most prized partnering non-profits for its first Volunteer Fair. • Board Placement -This initiative utilizes the liaisons and strategic alliances through Project Volunteer to place and track COR members as well as to serve on boards of non-profits.
